Maimand is an ancient village in Iran. It is located about 900 km from the Iranian capital Tehran. The population of this village is nomadic, its inhabitants live in mountain caves, these traitors are made by cutting and carving soft stones. The type of carvings in these caves suggest that they are 10,000 years old. UNESCO has declared the area a World Heritage Site, and the Maimand Cave is said to be about 2,000 years old. Most of the mountains in central Iran are dry, so it is very hot in summer and cold in winter. Depending on the weather, the people here live in these caves. In the scorching heat and autumn, people live in the mountains with thatched roofs. These canopies provide shade from the scorching sun.

When it is very cold, they go inside the caves

And the whole winter stays the same. Experts say that about ten thousand years ago, the mountains were cut down and four hundred caves were built. Of these, only 90 children are left now. The houses built in the caves have about seven rooms. Is two meters long and 20 meters wide. Some rooms may be less wide and less high. It is possible that after reading the names of the caves, I think that these houses will be like the ancient ones. However, it is not the case that the people living here have completely changed the caves. Today you will find all kinds of facilities here. He also keeps his own houses according to the status of the person. These caves have ample supply of electricity, in addition to freezers and TVs are well used. People don't have to worry about water either, because there is plenty of water available here. However, the air does not pass through these houses at all, the house should not be black when cooking

Although today people avoid living in these caves

Instead of living in houses, they move to the surrounding cities. In the summer, these nomads return to the mountains, with an estimated population of only 150 living on them all year round. Due to the declining population, the area is in danger of losing its identity. The unique quality of life of this region is the identity of this region. In order to protect it, an awareness campaign was launched by the Cultural Directorate General of Iran and Version to Razm Organization in the year 2001. Since then, you have come here. Now that the area has been developed as a tourist destination, they stay in these caves for a few more days, so that they can experience the ancient way of life. This is the identity of this area. If you ever get a chance, you must also go for a tour of the village of Maimand.
